Looking for an easy, free, no booking required date for Saturday? Head to the Surry Hills Library to hear both the amazing Leroy Lee and Rani Fire. Leroy Lee is a songwriter who uses guitar, voice and stomp box to create music filled with rhythmic ingenuity! Triple J were quick to spot Leroy's humble and observational song writing in 2008 when Drawing Smoke won Leroy the Unearthed Competition to support Missy Higgins during her Australian tour. Rani's Fire delivers intimate, modern acoustic music and lyrics exploring emotional sorrow and loss to light and redemption. Inspired by personal experiences, passion and imagination.
Why it's a hot date: Instead of just doing the standard Saturday afternoon brunch date, why not mix it up by attending this free concert and then grabbing a bite to eat at any of the fantastic Surry Hills cafes.
Price: Free
When: Saturday 5 June 1.00pm - 3.00pm
Take me out! I'll take you out!|
