The Burlesque Ball 2010
Take your sweetheart to a night she will never forget at The Burlesque Ball! The Burlesque Ball was born from a concept in 2005. The event coincided with the rise in popularity of Burlesque in Australia, and was the first event of it’s kind to showcase Burlesque on such a grand scale. This year it is a featured Mardi Gras event, this year the Burlesque Ball features Julie Atlas Muz (New York), MC Ophelia Bitz (London), Roxi DLite (Ontario), Lola The Vamp (Brisbane), Peekaboo Pointe (New York), Imogen Kelly (Sydney), Chrys Columbine (London), Sarah Lea Cheesecake (Melbourne) and The Gamble Sisters (Brisbane).

Library Lovers: Romantic Literature Reading
Every now and then life can make us all...a bit bitter. Grab your crush, hopeless romantic or even fellow cynic for an injection of the stuff fairy-tails are made of! Library staff will read a selection of passages from Greek classics, French belles-letter's and English prose. After the readings, ask a Librarian to 'match make' you with the perfect book to borrow and take home. You're heart will flutter in no time, or at the very least, you'll have a much better attitude.
